North of Ordinary Collective is a cozy, flexible micro event space in North Boulder designed for small gatherings with big personality.

The Collective is intentionally small, warm, and a little unconventional. We have cozy lounge furniture, flexible seating, creative energy, a patio, and a space that actually feels like somewhere people want to spend time.

    The Collective is available to rent for intimate gatherings, workshops, meetings, celebrations, creative groups, and more. Space rental is designed for folks who have their own plans, supplies, food, and activities and simply need a welcoming place to gather.

    What’s included

    • Use of the Collective’s indoor gathering space
    • Lounge seating, tables, and chairs
    • Basic furniture setup for your group
    • Access to the patio
    • Wi-Fi
    • Use of our existing tablescape basics and decor
    • Basic furniture reset after your booking

    What you’ll handle

    Space rental is self-service. You’re welcome to make the space your own, but you’ll be responsible for bringing any additional supplies, decorations, food, activities, or equipment you need.

    At the end of your booking, we ask that you leave the space ready for the next person:

    • Return furniture to its original arrangement
    • Remove personal belongings and decorations
    • Dispose of trash in the provided receptacles
    • Wipe down tables and surfaces you used
    • Clean up any food or spills
    • Leave the space generally as you found it

    We’ll take care of the deep cleaning after your event.

    Monday–Thursday
    $30/hour · 2-hour minimum

    Friday daytime
    $30/hour · 2-hour minimum

    Saturday–Sunday
    $30/hour · 3-hour minimum

    Friday evenings are reserved for Collective programming and members and are not available for private rental.

  • Bring your people. We’ll take care of the hospitality.

    Want the ease of having a space without having to figure out snacks and drinks yourself? Our Hosted Gathering option adds a little Collective hospitality to your private event.

    You’ll still bring your own plans, activities, decorations, and anything else that makes your gathering yours. We’ll take care of the food and non-alcoholic drinks so you can focus on your guests.

    What’s included

    Everything included with Space Rental, plus:

    • A seasonal charcuterie board
    • Coffee and tea
    • Sparkling water
    • Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available with advance notice
    • Basic food and beverage setup
    • Restocking during the event as needed

    You’ll handle:

    Your event is still yours to run. You’ll be responsible for:

    • Activities, programming, or entertainment
    • Decorations and personal touches
    • Any additional food or beverages
    • Bringing in outside vendors, if applicable
    • Basic reset of the space at the end of your booking

    We’ll take care of the hospitality and regular venue cleaning. You take care of the gathering.

    Some gatherings need a little more than a room and a snack board. Maybe you’re planning a themed party, a creative workshop, an intimate celebration, a community gathering, or something that doesn’t quite fit into a traditional event package.

    Our Custom Events option gives us room to build something around what you’re imagining.

    How it works

    Tell us what you’re planning, approximately how many people you’re inviting, and what you’d love help with.

    We’ll talk through the possibilities and create a custom package based on your guest count, food and beverage needs, setup, and the level of support you’re looking for.

    Custom events are quoted individually.

    A note on capacity

    The Collective is intentionally intimate. We comfortably seat around 14 people and can accommodate approximately 20 for a cozier gathering, depending on the event and layout.

What kinds of events do you host?

All kinds of small gatherings are welcome. We love a micro event - birthdays, dinner parties, showers, workshops, classes, creative gatherings, community meetups, meetings, listening parties, small performances, game nights, film screenings, and celebrations of all kinds. If you have an idea that doesn't fit neatly into a traditional event category, we'd love to hear it.

What does the space come with?

The Collective is small but mighty. Your rental includes tables, chairs, lounge seating, patio access, fast Wi-Fi, a PA system and speakers, piano, projector and screen, and our existing tablescape basics and decor. Need something specific? Ask us and we'll let you know what we have available.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Absolutely. Space Rental is designed to give you the flexibility to bring your own food, drinks, decorations, and supplies. One thing to note: we do not have a full kitchen or a large refrigerator, so plan accordingly if you're bringing or storing food. We also offer a Hosted Gathering option with charcuterie and non-alcoholic drinks if you'd rather have the hospitality handled for you.

Can we decorate the space, and what does cleanup involve?

Yes! We want your gathering to feel like yours. You're welcome to bring decorations and make the space your own, with a few reasonable restrictions to protect the walls, furniture, artwork, and space.

At the end of your booking, we ask you to reset, not deep clean: return furniture to its original arrangement, remove your belongings and decorations, dispose of your trash, and wipe down any surfaces you used. If you'd rather leave the reset to us, full post-event cleanup is available for a small additional fee. We'll take care of the regular venue cleaning and maintenance.
